MS/HS Announcements

1. Lake Area Tech is hosting their Annual DRONE CAMP on September 16, 2022! If a student grades 9-12 is interested in attending this educational camp and pursuing a career in Drone Technology, register at

2. Any junior or senior students interested in serving as a page during the 2023 legislative section, please contact Ms. West for details. Deadline to apply is Oct. 7th.

3. Gregory County FFA is sponsoring a tailgate meal this Friday, September 9th before the FB game from 5:30 until they run out of food. It is to be held at Burke City Park. They will be serving Roast Beef Sandwich, Chips, Dessert, and Drink. They will be accepting a free will donation.

4. Homecoming Week

· America Monday- Show your patriotism by wearing red, white and blue

· Traditional Tuesday: Support the school mascot by wearing your western clothing

· Wacky Wednesday: Snarf Day, Hat and Shades Day, Class Color Day

Ø Seniors: Black, Juniors: Yellow, Sophomores: Red, Freshman: Blue, 8th: Pink, 7th: Purple, 6th: Orange, Staff: White

· Tropical Thursday: Dress for the beach, but make sure that your clothing is appropriate.

· Faithful Friday: Wear Green and White.

5. Coronation will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night (9/15), and alumni will be able to participate in roll call. Billy Looking Cloud is the MC for the event. The Cowboy and Cowgirl will also be announced. Candidates for Cowboy include Kash Heath, Aidan Muller, Kaden Pechota, and Sully Shippy. For Cowgirl, the candidates are Devan Dougherty, Ashlyn Hoffine, Jordyn Ring, and Toree Ringing Shield. The senior class also voted for the following honor guards: Jack Anderson, Jordyn Harter, Klayton Heath,

Joseph Laprath, Shaleena Kingsley, Maura Luedke, Lilly Nelson, and Emma Vandenbark. Sophomore ushers are Lane Leighton, Eli Vobr, Westlie Cahoy, and Aspyn McKenzie. Freshmen who will hand out programs include Seth Heath, Cash Hemming, Emme Nelsen, and Gracie Rohde. Those involved with coronation please be at the gym by 7pm.

Friday will be kicked off with Cowboy Olympics starting at 8:15 a.m., and then classes will be able to finish their homecoming floats. At 1:00 p.m. the homecoming parade will be held on Main Street. Mrs. Kathy Hrabanek will be the parade marshal.
